Marks 1,000 days since the devastating military campaign in Gaza began.
I unequivocally condemn the actions of the #Israeli government and military that have resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians and the destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, places of worship, and critical infrastructure. The immense loss of innocent lives including children, women, healthcare workers, journalists, humanitarian personnel, and aid workers is a tragedy that should shake the conscience of the world.
No political or military objective can justify the collective suffering of an entire civilian population.
My thoughts and prayers are with the resilient people of Palestine, especially the families of Gaza, who continue to endure unimaginable pain, displacement, hunger, and loss.
May justice prevail. May those responsible for violations of international humanitarian law be held accountable. And may the people of Palestine finally live in peace, freedom, dignity, and security, InShaAllah.
Silence in the face of human suffering is never neutrality instead it is a choice. Humanity must always come first.
