United Commercial Bank Limited has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 certification

United Commercial Bank Limited has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 certification. The announcement was made in a ceremony held at the bank premises. ISO 27001 enables organizations to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details, or information entrusted by third parties.

Mr. Suresh Dadlani, President of ControlCase handed over the Memento and ISO 27001 Certificate of Compliance to Mr. Arif Quadri, Managing Director & CEO of UCB at the Corporate Office of the Bank. Additional Managing Director and CRO of UCB Mr. Syed Faridul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and COO of UCB Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamoon, Senior Vice President & Head of IT of UCB Mr Kashef Rahman, Mr. Muhammed Abdullah Al Mamun, Head of Information Security, Mr Maruf Alam, Chairman of Cynergon InteliSys Limited, the local partner of ControlCase were present along with other senior officials of both the organizations.

ISO 27001 compliance is not a one-and-done process. Every year all controls and procedures need to be evaluated to remain in compliance. That is why ISO 27001 certification is a demanding standard to maintain. In addition to the ISO 27001 standard, UCB is also a PCI DSS compliant bank.
